I've always loved cooking. When I was young, my grandma would keep me while my parents were working. I remember making menus and setting the table and making her play restaurant with me. I only knew how to scramble eggs though so regardless of what she ordered she would get scrambled eggs and maybe some deli ham heated in the skillet. The older I got, the more choices she had when they were dining at my "restaurant" Bongo's Cafe, named after my stuffed monkey that went everywhere I did. Later, my friends and I would cook dinner for our parents, rotating who's house we cooked at. Since we've graduated one friend's dad even commented that he misses getting our home cooked meals.
In high school I really only cooked pasta dishes but since college I've really branched out and started trying lots of different things. So, I don't stick to any particular cuisines, it's really whatever sounds good that day. Living in a small town I am also limited to the ingredients that are available. I still make a lot of pasta dishes but you'll see a variety. Grilling is my favorite summer hobby so you'll see my favorite grill recipes too.
A lot of my recipes are adaptations of recipes I've found online or recipes I've received from family and friends.
I hope you enjoy my dishes and please leave comments and suggestions!
Thanks!
